Over a two-month period, contributed data modeling and analytics enhancements across Mozilla’s Looker repositories. Developed a new LookML view and Explore in mozilla/lookml-generator to expose newtab_items_daily data, enabling analytics teams to generate insights on Firefox Desktop’s HNT content. In mozilla/looker-spoke-default, implemented domain-level grouping for RSS feed items and integrated article_body parsing status by joining rss_feed_items with zyte_cache, improving reporting accuracy and data discoverability. Leveraged LookML, SQL, and yaml to deliver these features, focusing on data accessibility and reliability. The work emphasized traceability, maintainability, and enabled more granular, domain-level analysis for content performance and reporting workflows.
