Worked on rightsizing API surface cleanup within the spotinst/openapi repository, focusing on streamlining and maintaining the API documentation. The effort involved deleting deprecated V1 rightsizing API documentation and endpoints for ECS, GKE, and AKS, which reduced confusion and minimized the API surface area. Using YAML for OpenAPI specification management, the developer consolidated documentation and aligned with API governance standards to ensure deprecated paths would not reappear. This work emphasized API development and documentation management, resulting in a more maintainable codebase and lowering the ongoing maintenance burden for the team. No bug fixes were recorded during this period.
