Worked on the google/adk-js repository to enhance the stability and lifecycle management of the MCP client, focusing on resource cleanup and process reliability. Addressed a critical issue by implementing a fix that ensures MCP client sessions are properly closed after tool invocations, which prevents process leaks and allows Node.js applications to exit cleanly. This solution also resolved Windows-specific libuv assertions related to session teardown. Updated mocks and tests in TypeScript to reflect the new session lifecycle, maintaining comprehensive test coverage across both stdio and HTTP transports. Demonstrated strong full stack development skills with attention to cross-platform stability and maintainability.
