Worked on expanding international currency support in the actualbudget/actual repository by implementing Dominican Peso (DOP) integration into both currency settings and core currency definitions. Used React and TypeScript to ensure seamless front end updates, enabling accurate DOP transactions and reporting for users in the Dominican market. The approach included clean commit practices, targeted pull requests, and comprehensive release notes to support transparent deployment. This feature enhanced the application's localization capabilities and improved the accuracy of financial calculations involving DOP. The work demonstrated attention to detail in currency handling and contributed to the onboarding of new international users without introducing regressions.
