Worked on the Azure/bicep-registry-modules repository to address a deployment blocker affecting Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters using the Cilium dataplane. Delivered a targeted bug fix that restored compatibility between Cilium Network Policy and the AKS managed cluster module by ensuring the network policy is set to 'cilium' and the network plugin mode to 'overlay' when Cilium is selected. This change resolved errors encountered during deployment and reduced support friction for users. The work involved Infrastructure as Code practices, leveraging Bicep and Kubernetes expertise to improve module reliability and streamline the deployment process for customers utilizing Cilium with AKS.
