Developed and integrated Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) enablement across the Checkmarx/ast-vscode-extension, ast-cli, and ast-cli-javascript-wrapper repositories, focusing on secure and scalable rollout for core developer tools. Leveraging TypeScript and Go, the work introduced feature flags, tenant-level DAST enablement, and runtime status exposure, allowing conditional UI display and tenant-specific configuration. The implementation included a new DAST results provider in the VSCode extension, runtime DAST status checks in the CLI, and configuration methods in the JavaScript wrapper. This approach strengthened security coverage while maintaining performance, laying the groundwork for future DAST results UI and license visibility enhancements.
January 2026: DAST enablement across core developer tools to support secure, scalable rollout. Implemented feature flags, tenant-level DAST enablement, runtime DAST status exposure, and groundwork for DAST results UI and license visibility. Delivered across three repos (VSCode extension, CLI, and JS wrapper) with commits enabling conditional UI, tenant command flags, and dastEnabled checks, strengthening security coverage while preserving performance.
