During November 2025, Cyanosin developed Vulkan VK_EXT_full_screen_exclusive support for the RetroArch repository, focusing on enhancing the fullscreen experience for Vulkan-based applications on Windows. Using C programming and the Vulkan API, Cyanosin implemented extension handling and new fullscreen management structures, enabling exclusive fullscreen mode based on user preferences. This work addressed issues like screen tearing and improved immersion for end users, while laying a foundation for future Vulkan enhancements. The technical approach emphasized robust integration patterns and clear commit history, ensuring maintainability and traceability. Although no bugs were fixed, the feature delivery demonstrated depth in graphics programming and platform integration.
