During August 2025, Yifan Chen focused on maintaining the stability and correctness of the DUNE/larnd-sim repository by addressing a critical configuration management issue. Using Python and Git, Yifan identified and fixed a bug where the detector property lookup key was incorrectly set as 'signal_overlap_cut' instead of 'diff_n_sigmas'. This correction ensured that simulation runs accessed the intended parameters, preserving the reliability and reproducibility of downstream analyses. Although no new features were released, Yifan’s work demonstrated careful debugging and validation practices, contributing to the overall robustness of the codebase and reducing the risk of misconfiguration in detector simulations.
