During July 2025, Cyifan focused on code stabilization and minor corrections for the DUNE/larnd-sim repository, emphasizing reliability and maintainability over new feature development. Working primarily in Python, Cyifan addressed a bug by removing an unnecessary debug print statement from the simulation run path, which reduced log noise and improved clarity for downstream experiments. Additionally, Cyifan enhanced the robustness of detector property initialization by ensuring NEIGHBORING_PIX_DIST was set to an empty list, preventing potential None-related errors. The work demonstrated careful debugging and configuration skills, laying a solid foundation for future enhancements while improving the codebase’s overall stability and cleanliness.
