During July 2025, D. Liu developed a Docker-based development environment for the crossoverJie/starrocks repository, focusing on standardizing build, test, and development workflows across diverse host systems. Leveraging Docker, Shell scripting, and Makefiles, Liu automated environment setup to eliminate host-specific variability, enabling reproducible local builds and streamlining developer onboarding. The solution integrated Docker Compose and shell scripts to orchestrate dependencies and build steps, reducing environment drift and supporting consistent development experiences. This work laid the foundation for smoother CI/CD integration and improved cross-repository engineering velocity, demonstrating depth in build automation and DevOps practices within a complex, multi-platform codebase.
