During October 2025, X. Lin developed a Query Profile Analysis UI Enhancement for the StarRocks/starrocks repository, focusing on improving performance engineering workflows. Lin implemented a user interface that allows analysts to inspect query profiles, view and format SQL statements, and configure the maximum display length for SQL, all using Java. The work combined backend development, SQL formatting, and UI development to provide deeper visibility into query execution. By enabling formatted SQL views and profile result analysis, Lin’s contribution laid the groundwork for faster debugging and performance investigations, addressing the need for more efficient query analysis without introducing bug fixes during this period.
