During July 2025, Dmitry Maltsev developed a terminal-based management interface for wireless settings in the basecamp/omarchy repository. He designed and implemented the Impala Terminal User Interface, enabling direct interaction with the iNet wireless daemon (iwd) from the terminal. Using shell scripting and system configuration skills, Dmitry created a tool that streamlines wireless configuration and troubleshooting for developers and operations teams. The solution supports more efficient workflows by allowing real-time adjustments and monitoring of wireless settings without leaving the terminal. This initial feature lays a foundation for future automation and improved operational efficiency in wireless management environments.
