
Worked on the microsoft/omnichannel-chat-widget repository to deliver an accessibility uplift focused on improving usability for assistive technologies. Enhanced the chat widget’s front end by addressing focus trap issues and ensuring screen readers announce full agent names and file uploads accurately. Leveraged React, JavaScript, and TypeScript to implement ARIA and live-region improvements, including middleware for announcing file sent events. Expanded automated validation by adding fifteen Playwright end-to-end tests and six unit tests, refining test infrastructure for reliability and CI stability. These efforts reduced the risk of accessibility regressions and strengthened release quality through comprehensive automated test coverage and improved user experience.
