Worked on the oss-review-toolkit/ort repository to address a bug in license curation, focusing on preserving the original operator (AND/OR) in compound SPDX license expressions during package curations. This fix improved the accuracy of license processing for packages with complex license declarations, preventing misinterpretation of combined licenses. The solution involved backend development using Kotlin and leveraged expertise in license compliance and SPDX standards. By ensuring that the logical structure of license expressions remained intact, the work contributed to more reliable and precise handling of open source license data within the toolkit, supporting better compliance and package management workflows.
