Worked on optimizing the continuous integration workflow for the specklesystems/speckle-server repository, focusing on improving build speed and reducing cloud resource usage. Consolidated the Yarn install process and implemented dependency caching within a dedicated job, while also skipping unnecessary browser binary downloads. This approach streamlined the CI/CD pipeline, resulting in faster and more reliable builds that provided quicker feedback to developers. Leveraged DevOps practices and YAML to reconfigure workflow steps, eliminating redundant processes and minimizing build flakiness. The changes enhanced overall developer velocity by enabling more efficient use of resources and reducing the time required for each build cycle in the project.
