During March 2026, contributed to the jrnold/growthbook repository by implementing a feature that enables experiments to be linked to templates through the POST /experiments API endpoint. This work involved updating the API payload to include an optional templateId, adding validation to ensure referenced templates exist, and wiring the new field through the backend logic. The developer regenerated OpenAPI types and validators to accurately reflect the updated schema, improving both API usability and workflow fidelity. The project was executed using Node.js and TypeScript, with a focus on backend and API development to enhance template usage tracking within the system.
