During August 2025, Dariusz-F enhanced FFmpeg/FFmpeg by expanding the access unit size limit in libavformat/apvdec.c, enabling the parser to handle larger and more complex video streams. He approached this by increasing the au_size threshold and introducing a minimum size validation, which improved both compatibility with high-bitrate content and the robustness of input handling. Working in C, Dariusz-F demonstrated strong skills in format parsing and video decoding, making precise, minimal changes to the codebase. This work laid the foundation for future codec support and addressed potential parsing vulnerabilities, reflecting a thoughtful and targeted approach to system-level media engineering.
