Worked on the DragonBluep/openwrt repository to enhance the stability and reliability of 6GHz wireless radios, focusing on firmware development and network configuration. Addressed a critical bug by initializing he_phy_cap and he_mac_cap arrays before the iftype_data loop, preventing crashes on 6GHz-only radios. Applied defensive programming techniques in JavaScript, such as using nullish coalescing to ensure capability checks handled missing data gracefully and disabled beamforming features when necessary. Linked the fix to relevant OpenWrt issues and pull requests, resulting in improved runtime stability for devices like QCN9074/ath11k_pci. The work demonstrated careful attention to low-level wireless firmware robustness.
