During March 2025, Alex contributed to the google/osv.dev repository by implementing cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) support for the OSV API. Alex addressed frontend integration challenges by configuring ESPv2 proxy environment variables, enabling secure access for web applications through allowed HTTP methods and presets. This work leveraged skills in API development, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps, with Terraform used to manage the deployment environment. By linking the implementation to a targeted commit, Alex ensured traceability and maintainability. The delivered feature reduced integration friction for frontend teams and facilitated faster onboarding for partners requiring secure, browser-based access to the OSV API.
