Worked on stabilizing grpc-tools integration within the NixOS/nixpkgs repository, focusing on build system configuration and package management using Nix. Addressed a build failure with CMake 4 by pinning a specific policy version to align with the vendored protobuf library, which improved the reliability of continuous integration and streamlined downstream release workflows. Upgraded grpc-tools from version 1.12.4 to 1.13.0, incorporating upstream fixes to enhance stability and compatibility for downstream users. Demonstrated technical leadership in dependency management and policy pinning, ensuring maintainability and readiness for future upgrades across the Nix ecosystem while supporting robust CI processes.
