Worked on enhancing both getAlby/hub and lightningd/plugins by delivering new features and reliability improvements focused on Lightning Network integrations. In getAlby/hub, implemented internal Core Lightning invoice preimage generation to enable sub-wallet support and improved backend compatibility messaging, supported by expanded test coverage. For lightningd/plugins, upgraded CI pipelines and documentation to Core Lightning v26.06.1, migrated the rebalance plugin to use the getroutes RPC for improved routing, and updated dependencies across multiple subprojects. Applied configuration typing fixes and strengthened test validation. Utilized Go and Python for backend and plugin development, emphasizing CI/CD, dependency management, and test-driven workflows throughout the process.
June 2026: Delivered key features and reliability improvements across getAlby/hub and lightningd/plugins, driving tangible business value through new capabilities, more stable CI, and better configurability. getAlby/hub added internal CLN invoice preimage generation to support sub-wallets, enhanced backend compatibility messaging, and test coverage for unsupported backends, enabling smoother onboarding of sub-wallet workflows. In lightningd/plugins, updated CI to CLN 26.06.1 across pipelines and documentation, ensuring compatibility with latest CLN features; migrated the rebalance plugin to getroutes with API simplifications to align with newer CLN versions and improve routing correctness; refreshed dependencies (sling 4.3.0, clnrod 0.6.0, payany 0.3.2) to incorporate fixes and improvements; and tightened configuration typing for summary-availability-window and donations-related options, supported by updated tests. Overall impact: improved product capability (sub-wallets), stronger test stability, and more maintainable, forward-compatible plugin code. Technologies demonstrated: Core Lightning integration, Python-based plugin development, RPC/API migrations, CI/CD and GitHub Actions, dependency management, and test-driven validation.
