During a one-month engagement, Doute D. enhanced observability and deployment reliability for the holochain/wind-tunnel repository by enabling Holochain metrics reporting within Nomad-based deployments. Leveraging DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code, Doute updated the Nomad job template using HCL and Bash to inject environment variables for metrics and ensured the metrics directory was created before scenario execution. This approach prevented runtime failures and enabled more robust monitoring for Holochain applications. The work improved the ability to track, alert, and troubleshoot deployments, demonstrating a focused application of observability principles and automation to address operational challenges in distributed application environments.
