Worked on enhancing observability and deployment reliability for the holochain/wind-tunnel repository by implementing support for Holochain metrics reporting within Nomad-based deployments. Updated the Nomad job template to inject environment variables required for metrics collection and ensured the necessary metrics directory is created before running Holochain scenarios, reducing the risk of runtime failures. This feature enables improved monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting for Holochain applications deployed in Nomad environments. The work leveraged DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code principles, utilizing Bash and HCL to automate deployment workflows and observability enhancements, resulting in more robust and maintainable deployment pipelines for the project.
