Worked on the dalathegreat/Battery-Emulator repository to deliver a user authentication system focused on enhancing security and access control. Developed a password-protected web interface using C++ and web development techniques, implementing username and password login with confirmation validation and authentication middleware to secure web requests. Logout handling was improved to provide clearer responses and reinforce security measures. The approach leveraged asynchronous programming to ensure responsive interactions within the embedded system context. These changes reduced unauthorized access risks and established a foundation for future role-based access control and audit features, reflecting a methodical approach to strengthening the project’s overall security posture.
