Over a two-month period, contributed to the LabNConsulting/frr and FRRouting/frr repositories by developing targeted features in C focused on network programming and BGP protocol enhancements. Delivered a new CLI command to display routes that failed FIB installation, improving troubleshooting for network administrators and updating both the zebra module and documentation to align with release standards. Later, implemented a configurable advertisement delay for the suppress-fib-pending feature in BGP, replacing a hardcoded delay with a flexible CLI parameter and expanding test coverage. Emphasized robust documentation, code quality, and comprehensive validation, ensuring deployment flexibility and improved operational visibility for users.
