Developed a robust automatic installer for the freeflowuniverse/herolib repository, focusing on cross-platform compatibility and streamlined deployment. The installer dynamically fetches the latest GitHub release and adapts installation steps for both macOS and Linux, eliminating hard-coded versioning and reducing onboarding friction. Leveraging bash scripting and Linux administration skills, the work standardized Linux builds to musl static binaries, ensuring reproducibility and universal compatibility. Installation reliability was further improved by refining variable naming, removing obsolete code, and isolating macOS-specific logic. These changes simplified maintenance, reduced installation errors, and established a more consistent deployment process across diverse environments, enhancing overall DevOps workflows.
