Worked on stabilizing the OAuth polling flow for GitHub Copilot authentication in the badlogic/pi-mono repository, focusing on improving reliability and user experience. Addressed issues with slow-down intervals and clock drift in the polling mechanism, resulting in a more deterministic authentication process. The solution was implemented using TypeScript and JavaScript, leveraging skills in API integration and OAuth protocols. Changes were carefully scoped to minimize risk to other subsystems, with targeted testing and instrumentation validating the improvements. This work laid the foundation for future optimizations in polling logic, emphasizing maintainability and robust authentication flows within the repository’s existing architecture.
