Addressed a critical bug in the IIIF proxy path by correcting the endpoint check, ensuring that image information requests are routed to the correct IIIF service rather than misdirected to an incorrect route. This Python-based solution improved API reliability and reduced broken image loads, directly impacting user experience and support overhead for digital asset rendering. Leveraged skills in API development and backend development to align the proxying logic with IIIF specifications, resulting in more accurate request handling and better compliance with established standards.
