Worked on the inveniosoftware/invenio-rdm-records repository, focusing on backend development to improve the accuracy of licensing metadata. Addressed a specific issue in Python where SPDX NOASSERTION license IDs were incorrectly mapped to 'other', which could lead to misleading license reporting. The solution involved updating the license assertion handling so that NOASSERTION now returns None, ensuring that downstream analytics and compliance dashboards reflect accurate license data. This targeted bug fix was delivered within the existing license processing workflow, maintaining consistent behavior for all other SPDX IDs and enhancing the reliability of license coverage reporting for the Invenio RDM Records project.
