Worked on the zarf-dev/zarf repository to deliver a major upgrade of the K3s Kubernetes distribution, focusing on production stability and multi-architecture support. Upgraded the k3s package to version v1.29.10, updating source URLs and checksums for both amd64 and arm64 binaries and airgap images. Enhanced end-to-end testing using Go and YAML to ensure that post-initialization deployments matched the intended version, reducing deployment risk and improving release readiness. Emphasized package management and DevOps practices by validating packaging integrity and version correctness, ensuring that both the upgrade process and resulting deployments met reliability and security requirements for diverse environments.
