During February 2026, work focused on migrating the editing experience in the rubyaustralia/ruby_au repository by replacing the Trix editor with Lexxy throughout the application. This involved integrating Lexxy, removing all Trix-related dependencies, and updating relevant files to ensure seamless editor functionality. The migration reduced technical debt and established a more unified editing interface, supporting future UI and UX improvements. The process required front end development skills, particularly with JavaScript, CSS, and Ruby on Rails, as well as careful code refactoring and dependency management.
