Dilhara Geeganage developed an end-to-end Trip Planning feature for the Company-B-MSD/tripmate repository, focusing on both frontend and backend integration. Using React, JavaScript, and CSS, Dilhara created a new component that collects user travel details and preferences, then communicates with backend APIs to generate personalized itineraries, recommended destinations, and budget breakdowns. The implementation established a seamless data flow from the user interface to backend services, enhancing the planning experience with real-time, data-driven recommendations. Over the month, Dilhara’s work demonstrated proficiency in API integration and UI/UX design, delivering a foundational feature without reported bugs and with clear, maintainable code.
