Worked on the fal-ai/fal repository to deliver enhanced image and video upload validation, focusing on improving reliability and governance in media workflows. Developed new constraints for image size limits and introduced configuration-driven validation, leveraging Python for backend and API development. Implemented standardized telemetry through a shared x-fal emitter, ensuring consistent event reporting and preserving UI metadata during emissions. Refactored core functions to improve type safety and excluded unnecessary runtime data from payloads, streamlining data validation processes. These changes reduced failed uploads, enabled predictable resource usage, and provided developers with clearer constraints, ultimately supporting more robust and maintainable media handling features.
