Worked on the RedHatInsights/insights-host-inventory repository to enhance the reliability of the tag-fetch API endpoint by focusing on input validation and comprehensive test coverage. Addressed a bug related to invalid date-time formats in API requests by migrating existing IQE tests to a unittest-based framework, aligning with project testing standards. Utilized Python and unit testing methodologies to ensure that improper date-time inputs are gracefully handled, reducing the risk of unhandled errors in production. This effort improved the robustness of the API’s request handling and strengthened the overall test suite, contributing to reduced regression risk and increased confidence in continuous integration.
