During February 2026, Desislava Petkova developed and delivered the Chronos-2 time series forecasting example for the modal-labs/modal-examples repository. She implemented both real-time inference and batch processing capabilities, enabling users to efficiently forecast time series data in various scenarios. Her work included refactoring the project structure by relocating the chronos directory under misc, which improved repository navigation and maintainability. Desislava also authored a concise tutorial to streamline onboarding for both users and developers. Leveraging Python, AWS, and Modal, she demonstrated a complete forecasting workflow, focusing on clarity, reproducibility, and ease of adoption for data science and machine learning practitioners.
