Worked on the localstack/moto repository to enhance SES configuration set visibility by expanding support for SNS event destinations. Developed an improvement to the SES describe_configuration_set API, enabling users to retrieve detailed SNS event destination configurations associated with SES configuration sets. Updated response templates to conditionally include event destination details and implemented comprehensive tests for creating and retrieving SNS event destinations, ensuring robust validation and reliability. Leveraged Python for backend and API development, with a focus on cloud services integration and automated testing. This work improved observability and governance for SES event routing, streamlining troubleshooting and customer onboarding processes within the platform.
