Dmytro Tsko developed a new Geo Indicator Coverage API endpoint for the cmu-delphi/delphi-epidata repository, enabling users to retrieve geo_type and geo_value pairs across various data sources and signals. He designed and implemented the backend query logic and data transformation processes using Python and SQL, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing. To maintain reliability and prevent regressions, he wrote comprehensive unit tests covering multiple endpoint behaviors and transformation paths. This work improved data accessibility for downstream analytics and dashboards, while also demonstrating a strong grasp of API development, backend engineering, and testing practices within a collaborative open-source environment.
