Worked on the firecracker-microvm/firecracker repository to enhance observability and test coverage by developing an integration test focused on tracing and logging instrumentation. The approach involved validating the Firecracker binary with log_instrument enabled, ensuring that traceability was maintained throughout the virtual machine lifecycle. Using Python and integration testing techniques, the work reinforced end-to-end traceability of operations and improved the reliability of production deployments. No major bug fixes were addressed during this period, as the primary focus was on strengthening CI coverage and confirming that instrumentation paths and log flows functioned as intended, laying the foundation for robust production telemetry.
