Worked on the DataDog/helm-charts repository to enhance security and maintainability by refining Kubernetes RBAC configurations. Focused on removing RBAC grants related to application and API protection features when those features were not enabled, ensuring that permissions followed the principle of least privilege. Updated YAML manifests to accurately reflect these changes, which reduced the attack surface and improved compliance with security best practices. Leveraged DevOps skills and a strong understanding of Kubernetes RBAC to improve governance and auditability within the repository. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature development and security posture improvements.
