Worked on the werf/werf repository to implement per-application versioning for Helm charts, focusing on deployment governance and reproducibility. Developed a new configuration option, helmChartConfig.AppVersion, within werf.yaml, allowing users to specify application versions directly in their Helm chart configurations. Enhanced the configuration parsing logic and updated Helm chart metadata generation to support this new property, ensuring consistent version tracking across deployments. The work leveraged Go for backend development and applied configuration management principles alongside Helm expertise. This feature addressed the need for improved version control in complex deployment environments, contributing to more reliable and maintainable application delivery workflows.
