During December 2024, Dsmello modernized the CI/CD pipeline for system tests in the spacemeshos/go-spacemesh repository. They designed and implemented new CI/CD jobs using GitHub Actions and Bash, enabling automated building and pushing of Docker images, as well as provisioning and managing GKE clusters. This approach allowed system tests to run reliably across both GKE and dedicated clusters, improving test isolation and reproducibility. By validating an experimental environment for system tests, Dsmello established a foundation for more deterministic outcomes and faster feedback cycles. The work enhanced automation, reduced manual intervention, and contributed to more robust and efficient release processes.
