Worked on modernizing the container infrastructure for the mealie-recipes/mealie repository, focusing on upgrading the base Docker image to Python 3.12 Slim. This initiative aimed to enhance security, improve performance, and streamline maintainability by reducing the image’s attack surface and optimizing startup times. Leveraging skills in containerization, DevOps, and Python development, the work laid a foundation for future features while supporting production readiness. No major bug fixes were addressed during this period, as efforts concentrated on stability improvements and technical groundwork. The approach prioritized maintainable, secure deployments using Dockerfile best practices and up-to-date Python environments for ongoing development.
