Developed support for Bedrock-hosted models within the microsoft/agent-framework repository, enabling applications to leverage Amazon Bedrock models such as Anthropic and Cohere through unified chat abstractions and tool calling. The work involved integrating Python APIs and asynchronous programming techniques to align with the framework’s existing architecture, ensuring seamless end-to-end functionality. A dedicated bedrock branch was prepared, with all changes consolidated in a single pull request. Throughout the process, review feedback was addressed, merge conflicts were resolved, and CI/build issues were fixed to maintain code quality and stability. Collaboration with other contributors ensured the feature met project standards and requirements.
