Worked on the aws-deadline/deadline-cloud-for-maya repository to migrate the Maya Submitter UI from PySide2 to QtPy, enabling compatibility with Maya 2025 while maintaining support for Maya 2024. Focused on cross-platform development, the work included thorough validation of the updated UI across both Windows and Linux environments to ensure stability and consistent behavior. Using Python and QtPy, the migration reduced upgrade risks for customers and streamlined the adoption of new Maya releases. The engineering effort centered on updating the UI layer to support evolving dependencies, addressing compatibility challenges, and delivering a maintainable solution for ongoing Maya version support.
