During their two-month contribution to the waffle-world repository, Eastshine developed and maintained Kubernetes-based infrastructure features focused on operational efficiency and governance. They implemented a service pause mechanism for the internhasha-server, allowing dynamic scaling of replicas to zero in both development and production, which streamlined maintenance and reduced resource consumption without requiring uninstallation. Eastshine also decommissioned the internhasha-dev environment and provisioned Kubernetes admin access by updating the aws-auth map with new AWS IAM users, enhancing cluster administration and traceability. Their work demonstrated practical expertise in Kubernetes, AWS IAM, and YAML, with clear ticket-linked commits supporting robust configuration management practices.
