Worked on the intel/PerfSpect repository over a two-month period, focusing on backend development and build automation using Go, Shell, and YAML. Delivered three features, including enhanced logging output with mutual exclusion to prevent log collisions in containerized environments and a refactored string parsing logic for improved readability and error handling. Introduced ARM (aarch64) cross-compilation support, updating the CI/CD pipeline and Docker-based workflows to enable ARM builds, tests, and artifact uploads. These changes improved code maintainability, reduced operational risk, and broadened cross-platform validation, ensuring the project is better positioned for future enhancements and expanded architecture support. No bugs were reported.
In July 2025, delivered ARM cross-compilation support for PerfSpect (intel/PerfSpect), enabling building and testing ARM/aarch64 binaries, updates to the build process and artifact uploads, and the addition of ARM-specific binaries and tests. This work broadens cross-architecture validation, improves CI coverage, and accelerates readiness for ARM targets.
