Eedri developed a governance feature for the redhat-appstudio-qe/infra-deployments repository, introducing a production pull request approval label to enforce explicit reviews for changes impacting production environments. Using Go and backend development skills, Eedri implemented a workflow gate that requires the prod/needs-approval label before production PRs can be merged, effectively reducing the risk of accidental changes. The solution aligns with organizational governance policies and strengthens release risk management by ensuring only authorized modifications reach production. The work demonstrates a focused approach to DevOps and platform engineering, addressing a specific operational need with a targeted, maintainable solution over the course of one month.
