Worked on the ehharvey/lms-2024 repository to enhance contributor onboarding and maintain CI reliability. Delivered a feature by updating the README in YAML to clearly guide new contributors through joining Slack and direct messaging the author, streamlining the onboarding process and reducing barriers to participation. Addressed a CI/CD issue by updating GitHub Actions workflows, switching the runner environment from an unavailable Debian-based image to ubuntu-22.04, which restored test execution and stabilized the continuous integration pipeline. Demonstrated proficiency in CI/CD practices, GitHub Actions, and YAML configuration, focusing on improving developer experience and ensuring reliable, maintainable project workflows throughout the engagement.
