Worked on the BrainFANS repository to streamline the data pipeline by removing legacy R and Bash scripts used for data downloads and CNV summary reporting. Focused on code refactoring and file management, the effort targeted unused scripts related to CommonMind, EGA, ENA, and PsychEncode data sources, as well as redundant file-size reporting utilities. By eliminating these components, the work reduced maintenance overhead and minimized the risk of confusion or stale processes in data acquisition. The changes, implemented using Python, R, and Bash, improved repository health and made onboarding easier for contributors by clarifying and simplifying the data ingestion workflow.
