Worked on the yugabyte/yugabyte-db repository to enhance test infrastructure reliability and cross-platform compatibility, focusing on both macOS and Linux environments. Addressed issues with flaky continuous integration by improving parallel test execution and environment isolation, and introduced targeted fixes for memory usage measurement, including tcmalloc support and platform-specific guards. Improved thread pool observability by refining metrics accuracy and macro usage, enabling clearer performance monitoring for developers and operators. Utilized C++, CMake, and shell scripting to implement these changes, emphasizing robust system programming, memory management, and testing practices. The work resulted in more stable tests and improved performance insights across platforms.
