Worked on the cedar-policy/cedar-spec repository to deliver four features over three months, focusing on formal verification and policy analysis for domain-specific languages. Upgraded the codebase to Lean 4.15, refactored type definitions, and integrated native Int64 support to improve compatibility and 64-bit data handling. Enhanced policy model flexibility by implementing List.mapUnion and reorganizing policy slicing logic for better maintainability. Developed a symbolic Cedar policy compiler with integrated proofs and tests, establishing a foundation for advanced formal verification workflows. Leveraged Lean, theorem proving, and SMT solvers to ensure correctness, soundness, and future extensibility of policy validation and analysis tools.
May 2025 monthly summary focusing on delivery of a Symbolic Cedar Policy Compiler for formal verification and analysis in cedar-spec, with proofs and tests validating correctness and soundness. The work lays groundwork for advanced policy analysis and validation capabilities, enabling early defect detection and safer policy deployments.
